Kawhi Leonard purchases $40 million dollars worth of NFTs

Late Saturday afternoon, the former Raptors powerhouse and current Clippers superstar, Kawhi Leonard, purchased $40,000,000 worth of NFTs. The transactions were shown on Blockchain Explorer.

“I live in the moment, so why not buy the moment?”, said Leonard. We at The Crypt Street Journal love anything crypto related, so this comes as great news to welcome one of the most valuable players in the NBA to our ecosystem.

The Claw isn’t the first professional athlete to jump into cryptocurrency and blockchain, Vince Young was seen staking his ATOM and XTZ on Coinbase Pro last week to help fund his newest steakhouse in Austin, TX. Young will be opening “The Stakehouse” in Austin at the end of March. The General Manager of The Stakehouse said that they will be accepting all major forms of cryptocurrency, except XRP.

NFTs are the new buzz and an excellent avenue for artists and creatives to show their work, and jump on multiple blockchains. If you are interested in checking the latest NFTs, check out rarible.com and mintable.com for all your NFT needs.

You will need to have a wallet such as MetaMask loaded up with some ETH before purchasing though. You can use Uniswap to swap BTC for ETH. In the words of Kawhi, “I always stay bitcoin strapped.” And so should you.
